Journal | Day 17 | Threefer PDF Print E-mail
Written by Alex Crabtree

Day 17  of my Journal and I'm reporting a threefer because I missed days 15 and 16 in the Journal, but not in my efforts to reach the  threshold of 1000 words a day logged into my book. The reason I skipped the Journal for two days was simple- I got lazy and tired.

I did push well past 1000 words a day in the two I skipped- in fact, I went over 2000 as I drove to finish Act I.

Journal | Day 14 | Back On PDF Print E-mail

Day 14- TWO WEEKS! The journal is second nature, and so is the book.

I did make my daily 1000 word goal, but I still haven't nailed down the final scene of Act I. That scene is where I am about to tread.  It's not that I have no clue about how to write the scene, it's just that tonight- I am pooped.

Anyone else there too tired to give a damn?

Enjoy!

Journal | Day 12 | Magic Finished PDF Print E-mail
Written by Alex Crabtree

Whew, finally getting to Day 12 of the Journal, and finally getting finished with the 'magic' two scenes introducing the Impact Character.

I did hit over 1300 words, I did ready another sonnet for publication, and I published Full Circle, a hawt poem written by Gypsy Heart.

This will be a brief entry, but I would like to discuss a bit about the Impact Character and what the role is in a story. If you have any comments on that, leave them in the comment section and I'll address them in tomorrow's Journal entry. I will talk at length tomorrow about theory of that I.C.

Have a great day!

Enjoy!

Journal | Day 13 | Day Off PDF Print E-mail
Written by Alex Crabtree

Day 13 of the Journal and I want to report- I took the day off. Well, just from my novel. I did pen my daily email, yesterday's one had to push over 2000 words, and I polished and published a new sonnet, Our Freedom.

There was also the matter of a leisurely bike ride to Hueston Woods State Park. I grabbed a bottle of water, some dried fruit at at the lodge, and found a shaded grassy spot where I plopped down to read Thoreau's essay Civil Disobedience. The day was hot, but the breeze was nice- so was the subsequent nap.

Journal | Day 11 | Late PDF Print E-mail
Written by Alex Crabtree
Thursday, 04 August 2011 23:37

Journal- Day 11, and I am late getting here, but I made it...so there :P

I did strike my 1000 word daily goal for my novel, and I did sketch the remainder of the story in a very rough form. And I did jack off a lot of the day. Honestly- I nearly took the day off all together, but then I got to feeling bad about it and decided to fire some words off, which actually felt good. I jumped right back in my groove and absorbed the energy.

Or some such shit.
